The Inwood Jazz Festival Inaugural Gala is an elegant evening of live jazz, community celebration, and cultural stewardship, presented by IPRP 1970, Inc. This special event marks an important new chapter in support of the Inwood Jazz Festival, bringing together friends, supporters, artists, and community leaders for an unforgettable night dedicated to the preservation and growth of this vital cultural institution.

Guests will enjoy exceptional live performances, curated buffet, cocktails, and fellowship in an atmosphere that celebrates the transformative power of music to inspire, unite, and strengthen community. As the Festival’s premier fundraising event, the Gala helps sustain year-round programming and ensures that the Inwood Jazz Festival remains free and accessible to the public, preserving its mission to present world-class jazz, foster arts education, and enrich Northern Manhattan through inclusive cultural experiences for all.

About Inwood Jazz Festival (IJF)

In an effort to assist the artistic communities of Inwood / Washington Heights and promote a treasured American art form, Isham Park Restoration Program 1970 Inc (IPRP 1970, Inc.) & Bruce Reynolds Memorial Garden:  

 

 

 

  • Presents a free, multi-day outdoor jazz festival culminating on September 20th, 2026

  • Provides an economic stimulus for performing jazz artists post-pandemic

  • Supports the tradition of performing arts by providing live, public performances

  • Offers the community rich, cultural outdoor events for the benefit of Inwood and the community at-large.​

The Inwood Jazz Festival is an annual celebration of jazz music and culture. We bring together renowned and emerging jazz artists from all over the country to share their talents with the community. Our festival is a platform for local jazz musicians to perform alongside some of the biggest names in the industry.

At the Inwood Jazz Festival, we strive to create a sense of community and connection with the audience. Through live performances, interactive workshops, and other engaging activities, we aim to create a space that allows jazz music to reach new listeners and bring people together.
